WiscNet personnel will be replacing one of the line cards in our Chicago core peering router r-equinix-isp as early as 9:00pm tonight, September 18th, depending on traffic and site access. The replacement work should not take long, but the maintenance window extends until 2:00am September 19th and interruptions may happen at any time during the maintenance. We will attempt to reroute traffic away from the device before maintenance begins.
Earlier in the week, the device's FPC restarted unexpectedly due to the faulty line card which is pending replacement, this maintenance is to prevent this from recurring over the weekend.
